The socks are knitted foot-shaped from the toe and up.

The socks are designed to fit the foot thightly, if you wish a wider sock then change the needle size to 3 mm when you begin to knit the chessboard - and the stripe - pattern.

Yarn: 2 skeins of sock yarn ( 210 m/50g) - this pattern uses color 1 (Filcolana: Arwetta Classic -color Caribbean Sea 811) as the dominant color and color 2 ( Filcolana, Arwetta Classic - color French Vanilla 196).

The gauge: on needle size 2.5 mm 30 stitches X 44 rows = 10 cm and beware of the gauge.

Needles: Circular needle size 2.5 mm - 80 cm long
